Proposed Change to ByLaws
We are proposing a change to our bylaws to allow grandparents
(with district fingerprinting clearance) to be members of the PTO!
Join us on April 9th to vote on the proposed changes and for the new PTO board!
Definitions:
Membership is defined as: Any parents, grandparent (with MPSAZ fingerprint clearance), and legal guardians of children currently enrolled
in Mendoza Elementary School and all Mendoza Elementary School staff who are willing
to uphold its basic policies and subscribe to its By-laws.
Member is defined as: A parent, grandparent (with MPSAZ fingerprint clearance) or legal guardian of a student currently enrolled in Mendoza Elementary School and/or Mendoza staff
Standing Committee is defined as: A permanent committee that deals with one topic or
event.
(only one vote per family will count towards any motion passing)
Committee Members: PTO Executive Board Members and/or PTO volunteers
The Mendoza PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Mendoza Elementary. The PTO includes all teachers, staff members, parents and guardians of students at Mendoza.
PTO supports the amazing work already taking place at Mendoza Elementary by providing extra resources, including funds and volunteer time, to help make our school great!
Our contribution to Mendoza includes purchasing classroom resources, funding annual teacher mini grants, raising money for school improvements, organizing family events and appreciating teachers and staff throughout the year.
